International Graduate School "Functional Polymers"
Establishment of AGRIPOLY International Graduate Schools
The International Graduate School „Functional Polymers“ is part of AGRIPOLY – International Graduate Schools in Agricultural and Polymer Sciences at the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg. With funding from the European Social Fund (ESF) and the “Investitionsbank Sachsen-Anhalt” we offer a structured PhD program in the field of functional polymers. Besides working independently on their own project, our PhD students receive a mentoring program and a structured education to be well prepared for a scientific career or work in the industry. To strengthen international collaborations within Saxony-Anhalt our scholarships are preferably awarded to young scientists from abroad. Moreover, we give our graduates the opportunity to present their results at international conferences and to stay in collaborating laboratories in Germany, Europe and worldwide. Participation in our international graduate school promotes interdisciplinary working and increases the quality of PhD student education. In addition, the work of our graduate school is focused on an continuous improvement of gender equality and family-friendly structures.
